What Staff Say About Working at WV

At Watling View it is important that we have staff who are able to support all pupils. We aim to support staff with a full and comprehensive CPD programme alongside providing an environment where people can ask questions to learn and develop and ultimately provide the best outcomes for our pupils. 

We have a clear progression route for members of staff particularly teaching assistants who are keen to progress on to becoming a teacher. We currently have 2 teachers who are on the teaching apprentice route, having previously had another teacher successfully undertake this route. As well as this one of our current Assistant Headteachers started her career at Watling View as a volunteer, before becoming a teaching assistant undertaking her teacher training with us and then successfully working her way to becoming a senior leader in school.

When asked for personal reflections about a working year at Watling View here are what some members of staff said. 

I absolutely love the Early Years department. The team I work with are so supportive, as are the staff throughout the school.

I am proud of our pupils and as a member of staff. I have had a fabulous year. 

I value the support I receive from SLT and the professional dialogue I have been lucky to have. 

I have felt well supported and felt my confidence improve. I love my job here and look forward to the next year.
