Careers Theme Day

It was lovely to see the pupils come in dressed up as a job someone special does. They took part in various activities in class to learn about different jobs related to people who help us. In the hall there was a careers fair and pupils got to learn about being a builder, hairdresser and café worker. They styled hair on dolls heads, dressed up as builders and used the bricks to construct things, explored different smells from a café and practised being a cashier using the till. In the afternoon we had a visit from the fire service who brought the fire engine onto the playground. They showed us the different equipment on the fire engine and some pupils got to have fun spraying water from the hose.
