RE

RE at Watling View plays an important role in developing pupils understanding and respect of other beliefs and cultures. Watling View has a vibrant and diverse school community and it is vital for pupils to understand the different cultures and beliefs of the Watling View community. 

As well as curriculum lessons we hold theme days and assemblies to build on the understanding of different cultures and religions and to celebrate these. The result of this means that we are able to provide pupils with an understanding about different religions and cultures in the world around them and prepare them for a life in modern Britain.   

Parents can withdraw their child from RE lessons. Should families want to speak about the RE curriculum and what is being taught, please contact Louise Berg-Rasmussen, so we can provide you with more information about the RE curriculum and how we teach this subject.
